Maria De Manuel,
Financial Adviser
With over 20 years in the finance industry, including six years specialising in personal insurance, Maria brings a unique blend of technical expertise and heartfelt purpose to her work. Her experience in senior financial and management accountant roles within the corporate world helped her develop a sharp eye for financial analysis and risk management, but left her wanting to support people in more meaningful ways, which led her to financial advice.
“Every family, every story is different. That’s why I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all advice. I take the time to listen, understand, and help you protect what matters most,” she says.
Maria has a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and holds the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5), which gives her the expertise to provide Kiwi individuals and families with insurance solutions tailored to their specific needs.
Whether it’s safeguarding her clients’ income, protecting their home, or preparing for the unexpected, she aims to make a difference in people’s lives through her strategic and compassionate approach. “In every meeting or discussion, I want to empower my clients with knowledge, confidence, and a sense of control over their financial well-being.”
Maria and her husband Glen - also an adviser at Advice4Life - enjoy a busy lifestyle outside of work, often travelling around the country for their son’s basketball tournaments. They are involved in their church, and support the wider Filipino community, and unwind with their gorgeous and energetic border collies — their favourite stress relievers.
What does she love most about being part of the Advice4Life team? “The family atmosphere, camaraderie and teamwork. We’re all here for the same reason - doing what’s best for our clients.”

“My approach is always personal, strategic and rooted in care. I don’t just offer a service, but a partnership based on trust, clear communication, and long-term support.”
